The project was a wood framed structure with concrete footings and concrete stem walls. Each corner of the building was four feet below the main level of the building to allow for clearance for the MRI devices. The architectural finish of the building was typical office/laboratory space with the exception of the aluminum interior door frames. Mechanical systems were typical for laboratory settings with the exception of the specialty gas piping and the heating/air conditioning systems designed for a one degree variation in the NMR device rooms. Electrical systems were typical for office and laboratory settings at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
